The Process of Cassava Pellet making from APEX BIOMASS EQUIPMENT

November 9, 2023

Vietnam is another significant producer and exporter of cassava pellets except thailand  in Southeast Asia. The country has a thriving cassava industry, and cassava pellets are an important product within its agricultural sector. Vietnam's cassava pellets are known for their quality and are exported to various international markets.

The production process of cassava pellets in Vietnam generally involves the following steps:

1.Sourcing and harvesting: Cassava roots are sourced from farms across Vietnam. The roots are harvested when they have reached maturity, which is usually around 9 to 12 months after planting.

2. Cleaning and peeling: The harvested cassava roots undergo a thorough cleaning process to remove dirt, debris, and any other impurities. The outer skin of the roots is then peeled off, leaving behind the clean, starchy flesh.

3. Chipping and drying: The peeled cassava roots are chipped into small pieces or sliced into thin wafers. These chips or slices are then dried using specialized drying equipment. The drying process reduces the moisture content of the cassava to an appropriate level for pelletization.

4. Grinding and pelletizing: The dried cassava chips or slices are ground into a fine powder using grinding mills or pulverizers. The powdered cassava is then pelletized using pelletizing machines. The pellets are typically uniform in size and shape, with a diameter ranging from 6 to 8mm.

5.Quality control: Stringent quality control measures are implemented throughout the production process to ensure that the final cassava pellets meet the required standards. This includes monitoring the moisture content, particle size, and overall quality of the pellets.

6.Packaging and export: The finished cassava pellets are packaged in bags or containers, ready for export. Vietnam's cassava pellets are exported to various international markets, with significant demand coming from countries in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, and other regions.
